friend Pierre Fenaille), which was, until manufacturing techniques had
progressed sufficiently to allow the successful manufacture of the
constant velocity joints
Tracta was a French car maker based in Asnières, Seine, that was
active between 1926 and 1934 . They were pioneers of front wheel
drive vehicles.
Featured automobiles include Tracta, Citroën, Panhard and Voisin
(France); Tatra and Aero (Czechoslovakia); DKW, Auto Union and
Mercedes (Germany); Alvis, Allard and BSA (England): DeLorean
(Ireland), and Willys Knight
In 1929, a French Tracta A sports car won the one-liter class in the
LeMans 24 hour race in France.
